September greetings to all! Is it hard to believe that Summer 2022 is almost gone? I hope that it was a happy and healthy one! We are in as I call it, “mega high gear” at the Holiday Card Challenge. Your cards are coming in and I get daily emails asking how to join in! Each year about this time, I wonder if it will work, if we will receive cards… and then it happens… the generous hearts of Americans join in to send cards to our Military, Veterans, and Military Families!
Last month was busy… radio and TV…newspaper and in person (and Zoom) talks… truly wonderful to get the story out there and to be embraced by so many.
Two new exciting aspects starting…. 3 2 1 … NOW!
1) We have two QR codes, one that will bring you directly to the website and the second one will (DRUM ROLL PLEASE) give the card recipients a QR code that will take them directly to Holiday Card Challenge on Facebook and they can take a photo holding the cards and load it directly to our Facebook page! I am excited to see more of those Warriors’ smiling faces!
2) As I always say and firmly believe that #ittakesaviliage to complete our mission… We want to hear more from you all, the card signers, the volunteers, the donators…I will be asking the question WHAT IS YOUR WHY? As I travel around, asking for three sentences or less, WHY you are joining in , WHY you embrace community service and community engagement, WHY your group, family, ,company…join in! Perhaps we can all be inspired by one another and perhaps answering that question will clarify for yourselves WHY you are …
