Greetings Holiday Card Challenge Community! While I have not posted here for a bit, please know that you are cherished and our gratitude for all of your support and partnerships is rock solid, Olympic GOLD!
After the successful HAPPY SPRING Mini CHallenge (thousands of cards went out soooo not so mini I say!), there has been a lot of organizing, grant writing (cross your fingers), social media posts, prepping, AND CHRISTMAS IN JULY!
JP Morgan Chase Boston held a CHristmas Hanukah Kwanzaa In July event and close to 1,000 cards were signed and the excitement was spectacular! They went all out with holiday decorations and goodies for all! National Night Out was also a big hit with families jumping right on board with signing cards, “knowing the drill” as they said after these years of being a part of the Challenges! I have received boxes of signed cards from DAR across the USA, Scouts, , camps, sports teams, book groups… It does seem to be TRUE that signing holiday cards all year long is a “thing”now and that makes us all smile for sure!
BIG NEWS: Cumulus Media in TEXAS is a new and amazing partner. I cant wait to share more as their plans develop but lets just say that TEXAS is going BIG for the Card Challenge with a plan to truck thousands and thousands of cards cross country to get them to us to send to our Warriors!!!
SO many of you have reached out, making plans for your groups, families, companies…to do card signings this Fall. We can help in any way to make it FUN , EASY TO DO, and MEANINGFUL!
Excited to once again share that the NH Commissioner of Education took the Challenge to the National Commissioners’ meeting, challenging every State to join in! We have already heard from many that they will be ready to go! AND I can not wait to share the new video that is being produced in the coming weeks with the Commissioner and some very special Military Members!!
CARD CENTRAL update. The “shed” is almost done and will become our central office and work space. Our hearts will always always be grateful for the generosity of time and effort of the VFW Post 11373 in Hollis Brookline NH for building it! The Community has come together to make this dream a reality! Check out Facebook and Instagram HOLIDAY CARD CHALLENGE for the latest photos!!!
So many ways to join in to support our Veterans, Troops, and their families! Let us know your ideas and we will help to make them a reality. You can sign cards individually or as a group. You can volunteer to collect cards. You can proofread, count, and bundle cards. You can do a fundraiser to help with our costs of mailing the cards. You can set up friendly competitions between families, neighbors, departments, branches, offices. You can Sponsor-A-Box- for $150, sending 1,000 cards and we will it your name on the outside of the box so that the recipients know they have a friend in you. You could create an old school penny jar collection which helps tremendously with the costs of mailing our cards. Provide a matching campaign at your company. Does your company give credit for volunteer hours? Another way to join in …SO MANY WAYS !!!
WIth the excitement of Fall approaching, school starting, holidays on their way, we know that your time is precious! We honor every thing you do to support and partner with us. It is true that #ittakesavillage and we red white and blue our village!!

our Merrimack Lions club wants to participate again this year. We have folks sign cards at the town Halloween event. Please let me know if you have some cards or should we buy – those free ones are kind of iffy and we don’t have any right now. Michele
