It certainly was a long winter…even if you live in the sunny South! It is hard to believe that the 2021 Winter Holiday Season is “only” 8 months away and I am already planning for this year’s Holiday Card Challenge. Starting to contact those amazing donors, talking with our schools across the Country…cards are actually coming in and are being proof-read and bundled up. Never to early to get an early start!

Let me fill you in on what has been happening in 2021 so far… we have sent cards to the National Guard in DC as they have been stationed at the Capitol and welcome the support and encouragement…we have sent cards abroad for that “just because” encouragement reason as our Warriors deserve our support all year round… we have sent cards to State National Guard groups as they have been rolling up their own sleeves so to speak to help out with COVD19 Vaccines…we have sent birthday cards to some of our most senior Veterans across the Country…we have sent cards to a brand new Basic Training Battalion at Ft Leonard Wood… and I am so honored to write here that we have now sent cards to the second generation of one of our card recipient Families, a Father who received our cards twice while deployed now has a daughter who is receiving your cards! School and business groups from around our Country have reached out to organize community service projects that include writing to our Troops…Valentines, St Patricks and Easter cards have gone out too!

A logo contest is occurring in the State of NH and I can’t wait to see the entries!

While the root of the Challenges began with and will continue with Holiday Cards 4 Our Military Challenge, the heart of it all is CONNECTION. Hence, #cards2connect has a whole life of its own!
