If I thought Christmas in July was busy, I thought wrong. We are in high gear with the now Christmas-In-August momentum! The cards are coming in from across the Country… in fact we got a box of gorgeous handmade cards from a woman in the Netherlands whose generous heart reached across the World to support our US Troops! I have been going to meetings and presenting the Challenge and let me tell you, my email and phone hours have jumped exponentially in the last month AND I LOVE IT!
Every year right about now, I think to myself that I can’t remember how how to organize this and that we won’t receive cards for our Troops Veterans and MIlitary Families… AND THEN IT ALL GETS GOING AND I REMEMBER HOW IT ALL WORKS AND THE LOVE FROM HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS WHO ALWAYS JOIN IN! I always say that I am not the least bit shy and fortunately am very organized but the #ittakesavillage philosophy rules the day. It is because of YOU all that this works and it is because of YOU all that our Warriors and their Families receive the joy, care, adn holiday cheer each year!
Let’s get going. Even though it has been in the 90s outside, imagine the cold ( or if you are in a palm tree region, imagine how it might feel…lol) and the snow and the holiday energy coming around again. We have to be early card-signers because it takes a lot of volunteers a lot of time to proof read and bundle up your cards and then…. I takes time for me to pack up and mail the cards all over the Globe!
Whether you are one person signing a card or a group or…school, house of faith, business large or small… the do-good-feel-good of this Challenge will definitely be a win -win for all. I know that I am. A bit biased but trust me the feedback is spectacular from our MIlitary members and their families.
Very exciting to share that R Riveter ( Check out Shark Tank ) will be joining in as a new partner and the collaboration with nonprofit groups like Swim WIth a MIssion, Operation Delta Dog, and Creativets is phenomenal , just to name a few. We embrace nonprofit-to-nonprofit support and it is a joy to see how many amazing groups there are out there! Just came from a meeting with the NH Department of Education Commissioner and am so happy that they will be joining in again for the 5th year to challenge the NH Schools and all schools across our Country!!
